Description

Needlework sampler wrought by Martha R Lincoln in Leominster Massachusetts, July, 1806. Stunning sampler, in bright colors, worked in linen and silk. The flower and vine border surrounds the whole and terminates at the top by a large silk-worked yellow flower. An eight sided diamond border encloses six lines of alphabets and numbers. A poem spans the middle section, while a floral display in a blue urn on a grassy yard flanked by two bushes adorns the bottom. This sampler comes with two folders of genealogical information. Frame: H 19-1/2" W 18" Sight: H 16-1/2" W 14 -3/4". Condition: Professionally framed. Excellent condition. Collection of Ann Fassnacht.
