Description

Needlework sampler wrought by Sarah Eberlein,aged 11, 1806. Lancaster Co. ,PA . The blue satin border still retains almost half of the sequins that once adorned it all around. Inside of this is an elaborate wreath-like floral border. The central image consists of a woman seated on a bench under a stylized oak tree in full leaf and acorns. Frame: H 25" W 20-1/2". Sight: H 20-1/2" W 16-1/8". Condition: Professionally mounted and framed. The blue satin border is quite tattered and torn , but the sampler itself is is very good, despite some overall staining.
