Pre-Columbian, West Mexico, Nayarit, Chinesco type, Protoclassic Period, ca. 100 BCE to 250 CE. A hand-built pottery female figure decorated with red and orange pigment atop her cream-hued body. The woman stares forward with ovoid eyes while holding both hands to her hips, her body displaying faint remains of linear motifs. Size: 3.625" L x 5.3" W x 8.7" H (9.2 cm x 13.5 cm x 22.1 cm)

Condition
Repaired with some restoration, with hairline fissures along overpainted break lines. Abrasions and nicks to pigment, with light earthen deposits, and chip under left arm. Great form.
