Description

American (Newark, New Jersey), late 18th Century. Walnut and figured walnut. Bonnet with cove molded cornice, turned pilasters, arched door and sidelights. Case with cove moldings under bonnet and at waist, arched door and ogee feet. Brass and silvered face withthin necked eagle with banner "Tempus Fugit" and oval reserve. "Moses Ogden, Newark, brass works" and includes weights and pendulum. Interior locking latch for bonnet. Refinished with some wear. 89"h. 21"w. 10"d.
