Description
The wood case with dovetailed corners and a few wires inside has some technical looking apparatus and three knobs - not much else.
Among many other fantastic therapies, Dr. Abrams claimed to create a form of treatment that could, with a sample of hair or blood, establish a diagnosis and then transmit healing vibrations back to the patient. Useless knob-covered devices such as this aided the doctor in his ruse.
Dr. Albert Abrams has been dubbed the 'Dean of All Twentieth Century Charlatans.' He took quackery to a new level, exploiting the public's ignorance when it came to real technologies like electricity, along with phony ones he gave names like 'Oscillation' and 'Radionics.' Around 1916, he wrote a book about Physico-clinical Medicine (another fancy but concocted word): the Practical Application of the Electronic Theory in the Interpretation and Treatment of Disease.
Case measures 15.5 x 16.5 x 12 inches.
