Subject shooting hunting scene of a gentlemen firing at a pheasant.

In front full profile view, a significant British Gentleman in the moors, he is wearing traditional countryside hunting shooting clothing with his green Barbour coat and onion quilt sports hat, with brown trousers and boots, he is holding his Purdey shotgun high in the air aiming with dead accuracy at a pheaasnt flying overhead. His loyal companion black dog is by his side on his left flank looking up towards his owner. To his right is another gentlemen who is siting on a small thin game bird seat stick also wearing a green jacket he has a tweed cap hat and looking towards the other gentleman. With some large trees in the background in good autumn weather with light blue sky with white clouds overhead.

Oil on canvas.

A nice size with the frame being 35.5 cm wide and 30 cm high.

Set in a decorative traditional frame which enhances the painting.

Artist biography Trevor Parkin is a known British artist who was born in the year 1935, he worked mainly with watercolours & gouaches also oils, he was a teacher & illustrator, Parkin was born in Derbyshire. He studied at the Derby School of Art & did solo exhibitions in the midlands & east Anglia.
