Signed and titled in pencil. Inscribed "Imp." Edition 40
Image size 5 5/8 x 7 3/4" (14.2 x 19.7mm).
This impression might have been submitted to a show at one time as the artist's address and general information about the print is written in the outer lower margin. The same information is also written in ink on the back of the presentation mat. Alice Pauline Schafer was born in Albany in 1899, she was an impressionist & modern artist. She studied at the Albany School of Fine Arts, where she had been Registrar at the Albany Institute of History & Art and President of the Print Club of Albany. Her work is in the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Library of Congress, National Academy of Design and elsewhere. Alice Schafer was known for her printmaking skills. Her commissions were primarily in Albany where she was active in the Print Club. She was also a member of the National Association of Women Artists.

Condition: Generally good condition, partial crease in upper, slightly into image. Hinged into decorative mat with tape. Printed on tissue paper.
