Native American, Southwestern United States, Zuni, ca. 1960s to 1980s CE, signed "C.M. Yazzie & L. Halo." A stunning leather and silver belt by Zuni artist Charles Mike Yazzie. The lovely adornment features 10 silver conchos, each displaying a bird motif of inlaid turquoise, coral, nacre shell, and tortoise shell. Size (belt): 40.5" L x 2.875" W (102.9 cm x 7.3 cm); (each concho): Size: 2.875" Diameter (7.3 cm); silver quality: 94.26%; total weight: 587.9 grams

Condition
Some chipping and minor losses to peripheries of inlaid materials. Stiffening to leather, and some scratches and abrasions to silver. Otherwise, mostly intact, excellent, and wearable. Rich patina throughout.
