Description
A butterfly needlepoint handmade by Eve Plumb on the set of The Brady Bunch (Paramount Television, 1969-74). Plumb can be seen holding one (a butterfly, initialed by Plumb and dated '71) in a photograph of the cast on the show's set, all doing needlepoint work. The butterfly piece has notes on technique handwritten by Plumb around the edges. It is signed by her and dated August 5, 1971.
Ann B. Davis (who played Alice on the series) was interested in needlepoint and crafting, taught Florence Henderson (Carol Brady) the craft. Henderson taught the kids in the cast, and Plumb took up the hobby.
Accompanied by a photo of the cast working on needlepoints, and Eve Plumb with this particular "Butterfly" work.
