Description
A pair of photo-matched sterling silver Erte Mouvement art deco earrings with onyx and coral stones, first designed by the artist for a series of 1924 fashion drawings, in a red velvet jewelry box with "CPA" and Erte's signature debossed in gold on the inside. Together with a photograph of Eve Plumb wearing the earrings and a collector's receipt signed by Eve Plumb in pencil.
Accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity, numbering the limited edition earrings 150 / 250 and signed by Erte, which states:
"A chevron-like earlobe piece holds two faceted stones between curtains of parallel domed lines in low relief. A linkage of diamond shapes inlaid with stones is suspended from the top piece. This continues the geometry of parallel lines to form a zig-zag pattern, each free swinging. The stones for the top section are individually cut and faceted into diamond shapes. The lower precious metal diamond shaped sections contain inlays of alternating semi-precious stones. From this component, eight individual, delicate, silver link chains are suspended. Erte's authorized signature is affixed to each work in the edition. Each work in the edition is individually numbered and bears the precious metal stamp. The CFA copyright is stamped on each work."
