Pair of Side Chairs Attributed to Pottier and Stymus.Upper backrail with carved foliate frieze framed by inlaid overlapping circle design, lower back rail with carved foliate spray frieze; gold fabric upholstered seats; inlaid floral motif to seat rail corners; carved round taper legs with parcel gilt trim, on casters.Third quarter 19th Century. {Approximate dimensions: 34" high x 18 1/2" wide x 21" deep.}.Condition: Some wear to frames with restoration and repair, mainly in the form of fill-in to chipped edges. Repair to corners where legs meet the seat with some leftover loss. Both seats with blown out springs and wear to upholstery including tears.
