Pair of Laminated Rosewood Side Chairs, Attributed to J. & J. W. Meeks, New York
mid-19th century, in the "Henry Ford" pattern, each Rococo Revival chair with an open floral- and gadroon-carved crest over a shaped and upholstered back cushion, serpentine seat and cabriole legs.
h. 40-1/2" and 40-3/4", w. 18-3/4", d. 20", seat h. 17-1/2"

Condition
Both are in good overall condition. One has a re-carved tip to the crest. The other has two re-carved curls. The frames are tight. The laminations are tight. Scattered shrinkage cracks. Refinished. Casters probably replaced. They do not match.
