Pair of Laminated Rosewood Side Chairs, Attributed to J. & J. W. Meeks, New York
mid-19th century, in the "Henry Ford" pattern, each Rococo Revival chair with an open floral- and gadroon-carved crest over a shaped and upholstered back cushion, serpentine seat and cabriole legs.
h. 40-1/2" and 40-3/4", w. 18-3/4", d. 20", seat h. 17-1/2"

Condition
Both are in good solid condition. The tip of the crest on one chair is chipped. The laminations are tight. Scattered shrinkage. Refinished at one time. Casters probably replaced. One caster does not match.
