Pair of Laminated Rosewood Armchairs, Attributed to J. & J. W. Meeks, New York
mid-19th century, in the "Henry Ford" pattern, each Rococo Revival chair with a crest with floral carving, flanked by gadrooning and open foliate and scroll carving, the back joined to open arms, with a serpentine front seat rail and cabriole legs.

Condition
One chair appears to be fine. The other has the face carving gone at the top of the crest. Scattered shrinkage cracks. The frames are tight. Laminations tight. Refinished. Casters probably replaced. One caster does not match.
They measure 45" tall.
