Vintage Art Deco German wood carved cigarette desk stand with two ashtrays, decorative desk accessory which could be used for holding small paperclips, etc., 1930s, unmarked.

The stand consisting of the cigarette / trinket box with Edelweiss carved on the removable lid and burned German inscription (?) on the side; two small boxes on the side with inserted removable brass ashtrays, one small round holder (for candle?), two carved dogs with wooden spoons in the mouth to hold a cigar, cigarette or pen. The dogs are chained to each other.

The base is c.12" x 6.1/2" [30.5cm x 16.6cm]; the dogs with stand are 5" [12.7cm] tall, the trinket box in the middle is 4" x 2.1/2" [10.2cm x 6.4cm]; 1.1/4" [3.2cm] deep, a little surface wear, very good condition.
