Description
An antique Japanese writing box, also known as suzuribako. Late Meiji era, before 1912. Rectangular lacquerware piece, wicker design, the lid is garnished with gold and mother-of-pearl inlay representing butterflies over a river. The box features an ink stone and a silver water dropper. The item comes in original wooden case. Collectible Oriental Asian Decor, Writing Instruments And Desk Accessories.

Condition
Overall good vintage condition. Signs of age and wear. There is a crack in the lid of the box. Refer to photos. Sold As Is.
