Pre-Columbian Jalisco San Juanito Style Female Figure.Size 11 1/2 inches high. She displays a characteristically Jalisco-shaped head with an elongated brow/headdress that towers above coffee bean-shaped eyes, a curved nose, and an incised smile bearing skillfully delineated teeth. Wearing a skirt and a collar necklace, the female presents a broad, flat body featuring large breasts with raised nipples. Her stubbed arms project from her square shoulders. Provenance: From the estate of Nancy Lassalle, NYC. She was a founding member of both the NY City Ballet and School of American Ballet boards & an avid collector of Pre-Columbian artifacts
