Description
James Monroe (1758-1831) 5th President. 15” x 10”, partially printed document signed, Washington, April 17, 1824. The document is a landgrant to Henry Sauder for land in Tuscarawas County, Ohio. It is countersigned by George Graham (1770-1830). Graham twice served as acting United States Secretary of War, including during the transition between the administrations of Presidents James Madison and James Monroe, as well as Commissioner of the General Land Office. Overall, good condition considering the age of the document.
