Description
NORTHEASTERN DECORATED STONEWARE JUGS, LOT OF TWO, salt-glazed, each of bold ovoid form with reeded necks, strap handle, and additional cobalt to handle terminals, comprising an approximately two-gallon capacity example featuring incised three-leaf decoration with cobalt infill to front, and an approximately half-gallon capacity example with indistinct cobalt design to front. Early 19th century. 9 1/2" and 13 1/4" HOA.

Condition
One-gallon example having a faint hairline encircling handle, some scattered flakes to foot edge, and chipping to mouth; half-gallon example with a minor chip to foot edge and a moderate loss to mouth.
