Description
FREE-BLOWN CONTINENTAL DEMIJOHN BOTTLES, LOT OF TWO, each of globular form with stout necks and wide mouths, having crude applied and patterned (possibly coggled) collars below the roughly sheared lip, slight kick-up bases without pontil marks. Crude manufacturing defects including myriad bubbles, swirly glass texture, and jagged rims. French or Swiss manufacture. Circa 1840. 14 1/2" H x 13 1/4" D small example, 17 1/2" H x 15 3/4" D larger example.

Condition
Very good to excellent condition, each with some exterior wear and heavy interior residue; larger example having a jagged elongated burst bubble at shoulder.
