Fine collection of forty photo and illustrated postcards, the majority sent as ‘Feldpost’, or German military mail, during World War I. Images include group Army photos, fallen soldiers on the front lines, a guard parade, soldiers posing in the trenches, destroyed buildings, churches, villages, a wounded soldier and his sweetheart, gravesites, and portrait views of soldiers. Some of the covers and postcards also bear Feldpost cancels. All are war-date, and undoubtedly contain good, personal content, however not translated by us. All show expected wear, else very good. Worthy of further research.
