Description
WOODROW P. SWANCUTT (1915 - 1993) Pilot of 'Dave's Dream' (originally 'Big Stink'), flew in the first B-29 daylight attack on Japan, and piloted the aircraft during the first post-war dropping of an atomic bomb in the 'Able' test at Bikini Atoll, July 1, 1946. Rare 1944 war-date postal cover with an image of an air attack on a Japanese city, signed in full adding his rank 'Maj. A.C. - Pilot 'Dave's Dream'. Very good.
