Lot of forty signed items by Knights Cross recipients in various formats such as S.P.s, T.L.S.s, and signed envelopes, nearly all accompanied by their original envelopes. Signers include: KARL ULLRICH, OTTO WEIDINGER, HEINZ WITTCHOW VON BRESE-WINIARY, HELLMUT ROHWEDER, WILHELM BLECKWENN, HANS KALB, OTTO WESTPHALEN (2), GUNTHER JOSTEN, ALOIS WEGER (2), BERNDT VON MITZLAFF, REMI SCHRYNEN (2), HANNS-HEINRICH LOHMANN, HEINRICH SPRINGER, KARL-HEINZ EULING, ADOLF DICKFELD, SIEGFRIED KEILING, ULRICH ULMS, GUENTHER TENSCHERT, HELMUT BANASKI, EUGEN GALL, WILLIBALD UNFRIED, ERNST EBELING (2), HERBERT EWERT, WALTER LOOS, GEORG ROBERT BESSLEIN, WOLFGANG VON MALOTKI, DIETRICH HRABAK, WERNER HOFFMANN, JAKOB BRIEHL-FICK, WALTHER VON AXTHELM, KARL VON HASE, FRANZ ADAM DYROFF, ERWIN PROBL (2), FRIEDRICH W. BADER, KURT MULLER, and four unidentified. Sold with four S.P.s and a T.L.S. all signed by LUIGI GORRINI (1917-2014), the highest-scoring Italian fighter ace to survive World War II. In the letter Gorrini mentions his most memorable flight from the war, in part: ‘...August 27, 1943 in 95 minutes of flight I shot down 2 four-engine planes (Boeing flying fortresses) and 1 P.38 fighter...’. WITH: two S.P.s and a T.L.S. all signed by Italian ace ANTONIO CANFORA, credited with seven aerial victories. Conditions vary slightly, but overall very good.
