Description
This is an attractive, large double hemisphere world map was drawn based on the work of Johann Mathias Haas, a mathematician. It includes four polar spheres, each in a different projection, and two diagrams depicting the earth, as it should be seen from space. This map is full of detail as to topography, rivers, lakes and key cities. There is a void past California in the Northern portion of North America and there is only there are partial coastlines of New Zealand and Australia as well as for Novaya Zemlya. Two very large, decorative cartouches contain the titles, one in Latin, the other French.
