Description
This is an original limited edition lithograph by prolific American artist James Bama. In beautiful warm tones and in great detail the artist rendered a full body portrait of a Native American warrior wearing his traditional attire with feathered headdress shield spear boots and jewerly. This piece is in excellent condition signed ‘Bama92’ on the bottom left as part of the plate signed and numbered ‘Bama’ 192/1000 in pencil on the center bottom edge of the print; and is professionally framed with double layered brown and off-white mats in a wooden frame. James Elliott Bama (born 1926) is an American artist born in New York known for his realistic paintings and etchings of Western subjects. Bama's art is realism. He sometimes takes advantage of his medium to use lighting techniques—such as butterfly lighting—that would not be practical in a photograph taken under ambient light. Bama was inducted into the Illustrator’s Hall of Fame on June 28 2000. This item will ship exactly as photographed in Very Fine Overall Condition. It also comes with: FREE $3000.00 Certified Insurance Appraisal & Certificate of Authenticity! This piece can be viewed at our Brand New gallery APR57 at 200 W 57th Street New York NY 10019.
