Description
PUDLO PUDLAT (1916-1992) KINNGAIT (CAPE DORSET)
The Duck Pond, 1963 (2002 #4)
Printmaker: LUKTA QIATSUK (1928 - 2004) KINNGAIT (CAPE DORSET)
stonecut, 24 x 18 in (61 x 45.7 cm)
12/40
Provenance
Collection of John and Joyce Price, Seattle.
Beginning in the 1990s, Dorset Fine Arts began releasing historical print editions that, due to various reasons, had never been released in the southern market. Finally released in 2002, The Duck Pond is a delightful and strong print that would have fit right in with the artist’s other offerings in the 1963 collection. We love the seemingly dishevelled Inuuk in the background carefully observing the ducks.
