Description

DESCRIPTION: The Soldier in our Civil War. A Pictorial History of the Conflict, 1861-1865, Illustrating the Valor of the Soldier as Displayed on the Battle-Field. Printed in New York City by the Stanley Bradley Publishing Company. 1890. 474 and 444 pages. Hardcover 3/4 leather with gilt lettering and illustration. MEASUREMENTS: 17" high x 12-1/4" wide. CONDITION: Rubbing and wear to leather on boards and spine. Hinge mostly detached at the front of Volume I, along with lesser wear to the back. Minor hinge wear to Volume II. Text blocks remain complete and bound well. Some tears to end pages along spine. Filled with hundreds of black-and-white illustrations throughout, including some double-page sketches. An overall nice copy with minor restoration needed for Volume I.
