Description
A Maya Polychrome Tripod Plate Mesoamerica, Late Classic, circa 600-900 AD At center is a lord or deity seated on a throne. He gestures toward and looks intently at a flower that appears attached to his nose. The flaring sides are painted with a repeated human head in profile with emphasized eyebrow. Earthenware painted in shades of orange, black and white. The underside painted with red scallop design. On three conical feet (one broken). A traditional and original "kill hole" drilled near center. Otherwise in very good, intact condition.
