The Waldorf-Astoria was considered the pinnacle of luxury in its day and this solid Mahogany Grand Piano was a jewel in her crown. It is an heirloom piece of 1920s Jazz history, loaded with timeless energy from all of the musical greats of the Jazz Era who played her. Manufactured on the cusp of Steinway's "Golden Age of Pianos" this is a remarkable instrument that any professional or amateur pianist would be fortunate to play. A rare piece of art and history combined that can be handed down for generations to come. This Steinway B was purchased from the Waldorf-Astoria, for a member of the DeBary family of Mumm Champagne fame, and sent up to her luxury suite in the hotel. It has remained in the family ever since as a cherished heirloom that has provided many magical, musical family memories throughout the years. The piano was fully restored in the 1990's, and has been in the dedicated care of a piano technician with over 40 years of experience.Recently tuned and fully equipped with a dehumidifying system.
