This 4-sided 3/2 rod appears to be either refinished or at least over-coated with new varnish (retaining the original guides). The varnish and wraps are pristine but the handle is moderately soiled, all the guides have wear inside, and the wood spacer on the reel seat has old dents from past usage. The reel seat is an old F.E. Thomas screw down-locking model (not stamped). Inked above the handle is: “Thomas ‘Four’”. It has a modern light gray bag and plain aluminum tube with aluminum cap and red cloth protective sleeve.
