A JADE DOUBLE HANDLED CUP TOGETHER WITH A CIRCULAR TORTOISESHELL BOX
19th century
The jade cup well hollowed, the body supported on a short lipped foot, the sides incised with two landscape scenes separated with scroll-form handles, bearing an inscription; the tortoiseshell box and cover densely carved with garden scenes. The jade 12cm (4 3/4in) long (3).

Condition

There are minor nibbles long the edges of the cup. There are natural stress lines within the stone to the foot and the body.
The box cover has minor losses to the beaded edge in two places and also in two place to the upper beaded edge of the box with additional small chips and cracks. Internally there is a little scratching.
