CLOCK: Banjo clock, c. 1840, case with brass finial on painted chimney over brass bezel with convex glass, elliptical cutout head, throat and box with beveled mahogany veneer frames, single pine backboard, brass diamond sidearms, waist and box glass painted with white, blue and gilt rectangular patterns, movement with recoil escapement, standard rectangular bridge, brass trapezoid topped pendulum rod with brass faced lead bob, rear plate screwed to case with one machine screw from back, barbed arrow hands, dial with Arabic numerals bears inscription “Simon Willard – Boston”, case possibly from Attleboro, wear consistent with age and use, including replaced hanger and sidearms, one glue block missing, 31 1/2" h.
