AMERICAN, AND POSSIBLY OTHER, STERLING AND SILVER ARTICLES, LOT OF TWO, comprising a sterling silver "Madame D'Arblay" basket by The Meriden Britannia Co. / International Silver Co. of Meriden, CT having engraved "H.W.W." initials to top of bail handle and retailed by J.E. Caldwell & Co. of Philadelphia, PA, and an unmarked silver mug having repousse, chased, and engraved decoration with "Kate G. Christopher" to side, a double scrolled foliate handle, and a round foot. Basket marked to underside including "STERLING", mug unmarked and of unknown silver/metal content. Total weight of basket: 5.265 ozt.; total weight of mug: 4.385 ozt. 19th and first quarter 20th century. Basket 3 3/4" HOA, 7" D rim.

Basket in very good overall condition with some wear, surface scratches, and nicks, slight bending to handle, possibly one or a few minute/small dents; mug in good visual condition with wear, surface scratches, nicks, and denting, some scattered repairs including on rim and foot.
