"Message from the President of the United States to The Two Houses of Congress at The Commencement of the First Session of The Thirtieth Congress, December 7, 1847" (Washington: Printed by Wendell and Van Benthhuysen, 1847), 8vo, 1/4 leather with marbled boards, 1369pp. & 249 p. Appendix. Part of leather spine missing, boards shaken, foxing within. Several pages paginated out of numerical sequence. All folding maps appear to be present and in good condition, such as "The Battle of Buena Vista" between pp. 136-37, "Survey of the Mexican Line of Defense at Cerro Gordo, 17th-18th April 1847" between pp. 256-257, and "Battle of El Moleno Del Ray" 8 September 1847 between pp. 364-365.
