Bound in modern paneled calf, ruled and lettered in gilt. *********** This work was one of the first to detail the effects (chronic, acute, and psychological) of opium on its users. Jones thought that taking it in moderate doses (in the form of laudanum) was a good treatment, but he detailed the adverse effects if taken in excess. The folding table provides recommended doses for men and women of varying sizes. The present is an early edition; it was first published the year prior. ESTC T116068.
