A very uncommon carved wooden dance mask with raised tribal scars and motifs and two animal like horns. Tabwa peoples, DRC/ Congo, Central Africa. The mask has a well handled and worn surface and measures 15 x 8 inches. A metal display stand can also be included for an additional $50.00. Provenance: Ex Dr Noble & Jean Endicott collection, New York, also a Private NYC collection.

Very well worn, tribal repair/ stitches to lower jaw, well worn edges and horns.
