Lafayette is a waterline Van Ryper model of the classic French Lines single stacker launched in 1929. This was the first diesel powered vessel built by CGT and was in service for many years. The Marquis Henri de Dampierre, a direct descendent of Lafayette, was on the maiden voyage to New York. At 10.5", the model is 1/700 and sits on a wood base.
