Description
Three dining car china plates for the Southern Pacific Railroad. Includes a 7 1/4" plate in the Wildflowers pattern bottom stamped Syracuse 12-V Prairie-Mountain Wildflowers Made Expressly For Southern Pacific Lines Dining Car Service By Onondaga Pottery Design copyrighted 1931. The plate has bright clean graphics but the glaze shows moderate surface scratches and minimal stacking wear. A 5 1/2" plate bottom stamped Syracuse 5DD Prairie-Mountain Wildflowers Made For Southern Pacific Lines By Onondaga Pottery Co. the plate shows general signs of use with mild scratches and discoloration along the edge. A 6 1/4" plate in the Imperial pattern bottom stamped Made Expressly For Southern Pacific Co. Buffalo China. The bottom stamp does not look fully applied. The plate shows moderate signs of use with utensil scratches, stacking wear, and leftover adhesive marks on the bottom. The flower border graphic looks partially worn in a few spots. No chips, cracks, or breaks.
