Description
An early 20th century German sterling silver and enamel cigarette case, probably Pforzheim with import marks for Glasgow 1926 by Robert Stewart of rectangular form with a hinged lid raised by a notched thumbpiece, otherwise with chased edges.. The lid and base with a central panel of opaque yellow enamel flanked by two blue guilloche panels topped with translucent Royal blue heightened with art deco gold lattices. Repeated to the sides. Gilt interior. Import marks to the lid bezel. Length – 8 cm / 3.1 inches Weight – 141 grams / 4.53 ozt
