Attributed to Francesco Trevisani (Italian, 1656-1746) Sanguine Drawing on Paper, Christ in Crown of Thorns, H 14.25" W 10.25" | Depicting Christ in the crown of thorns. One foot rests on the cross, moments before crucifixion. Signed to the lower left. Frame measures H 15" X L 11.5". Bearing an M.A. Hutchinson - Practical Carver & Gilder, 4 Queen Square Building, Leeds, England paper framing label and Schmidts (Ypsilanti, Michigan) paper label affixed to verso.
