A small porcelain figurine from the "Bogatyr" series depicting the Russian national hero Alexander Nevsky dressed in armor and holding his shield unto which is iscribed the phase "He who comes to us with a sword - Will die by the sword". That phrase was etched into history forever at the Battle of Lake Peipus against the Teutonic German Order.
Commonly regarded as a key figure of medieval Rus, Alexander was a grandson of Vsevolod the Big Nest and rose to legendary status on account of his military victories over German and Swedish invaders.
The Bronnitsky Porcelain Factory (Bronnitsy) is a Russian factory that produces porcelain and underglaze hand-painted products. The factory began production in the village of Bronnitsy in the Novgorodsky District in October 1966.
