Description
A RUSSIAN ICON OF SAINTS BORIS, GLEB, AND VLADIMIR, NORTH RUSSIA, 18TH CENTURY, painted in egg tempera colors on board and with a double kovcheg centering the three saints wearing fine vestments and caps within a halo. 12" x 11" Provenance: Estate of Robert William Guynn, Houston, Texas.
Condition
Surface buildup, areas of overpainting, surface wear, craquelure, and the board has a natural curve with reverse cut areas to insert warping slats.
