Traditional Japanese Sendai Tansu Chest. Handcrafted by skilled craftsmen in Japan. Each piece is made by hand using only natural grown trees such as Zelkova, Chestnut, Cedar & Paulownia. The surface is fished with kijiro-urushi lacquer, which becomes more transparent as the years pass. The hardware is in the form of lavish toreutics gives Sendai Tansu a sophisticated appearance. Measurements: 39 1/2" tall x 45 1/2" wide x 19" depth. The approximate weight is 139 lbs. There are some fine surface scratches on top of the chest. Please refer to all pictures.
