Description
CONTINENTAL BAROQUE REPOUSSE GILT-SILVER COLUMBINE CUP / GOBLET BOWL, (updated 9/11/2023) six-lobed form with tapered center, featuring ornate repousse decoration including masks, figures, birds, and foliate motifs, base with six lobed reserves of animals, lacking base. Impressed to side of rim with two partially worn, unidentified hallmarks of a "B" and a left-facing spread-wing eagle, probably Aix-la-Chapelle / Aachen, Germany. Total weight: 6.980 ozt. Probably 17th/early 18th century. 4 1/2" HOA, 4 1/4" DOA rim.

Condition
Lacking standard, very good visual condition with some wear, surface scratches, and nicks, some scattered denting, a repair to side of one rim lobe, possibly more repairs, scattered worn spots and losses to gilt.
