HESTER BATEMAN AND FAMILY, ENGLISH GEORGIAN STERLING SILVER BOTTLE TICKETS, LOT OF THREE, each with bright-cut engraved decoration and suspended from a chain, comprising a Neoclassical pair by Hester Bateman with each having a cut-out form of a foliate garland framing a tazza cup featuring later "GIN" or "RUM" engraving over filled-in original "PORT" label, and a rectangular "PORT" example by Peter & Ann Bateman having reticulated element. Pair each impressed with "HB" maker's mark and two hallmarks of a lion passant for sterling fineness and a King George III duty mark, other example with "PB / AB" maker's mark and three hallmarks of a lion passant, a King George III duty mark, and a "u" date mark for 1795. Total weight: 0.830 ozt. Late 18th century. One Hester Bateman example 1 7/8" x 1 3/4" OA without chain.

Condition
Mostly in very good overall condition with some wear, surface scratches, and slight bending; pair with original engravings filled-in, "GIN" with solder repair to stem of tazza and a couple of small puncture holes at "G" and "I" letters.
