Description
A rare antique set of seven Japanese Satsuma "Seven Lucky Gods" "Jinjukan" sculptures. This set of Satsuma gods are pictured on the cover of "Figural Japanese Export Ceramics", a book on Japanese Satsuma. The hand painted sculptures range in size from 5.5 to 7 inches high. Two sculptures have condition issues as follows: God with trident damaged, missing the sash that wound over his head and ribbon that bows around top of trident has been re-glued. God with fish, the tips of the fish tail are chipped and his thumb has been re-glued. Additional photographs are always available upon request.
