Description
Elaborately carved scrimshaw whale bone Busk- corset stay with multiple patriotic images including LIBERTY over an Eagle with 13 stars, top hat man on horseback, prominent building with flags and remembrance flowers. Originally purchased in Nantucket, outstanding example. 13 1/4 inches long, 2 inches wide. Comes with frame where it has always been protected.
