For sale a World War One Bronze sculpture possibly designed as a Peace Monument. This sculpture shows two wounded soldiers, one looks to be German ( a German Helmet is at his feet). The other is a 'Tommy' type soldier, with his arm around the German soldier, on his back is written 'Canada' Signed on the base is what looks like 'Akken' or 'Arken' hard to make out & a copyright mark. This bronze is in perfect condition, a little dirty & there are rubbed areas to the patina. This is an original from WW1 NOT a reproduction, the style is reminiscent of sculptures by Gertrude Vanderbilt Whitney & Anna Coleman Ladd.
