Description
Two decorative wood carved masks, one originating with the Dogon people of Mali, in the likeness of an animal (possibly a simian or hyena) and measuring 13" high, 6" wide and 4 1/2" deep. This piece has four sets of holes bored into it for wear. It is suffering from a bit of degradation in the overall structure and chips and scratches throughout. The other mask is of a style distinctly of the Toma tribe and measures approximately 18" high, 7 1/2" wide and 4" deep. Except for some surface wear, this piece is in fine condition.
