Revolutionary War Georgia Committee of Safety 1775 Accounting Document
A sheet of accounting from the Committee of Safety in Savannah, Georgia, addressed to the Committee in Augusta. 1p, measuring 7.75" x 12.5", Augusta, Georgia, dated October 20, 1775. The document records payments made to various men for military services, such as "for guarding the ammunition". Some men are recorded as already having been paid by Capt. John Lamar. Signed at the conclusion by Chairman William Glascock. With flattened folds and separations at the folds repaired with archival tape. Staining from prior taping. Toning, dampstaining, and foxing throughout.
